SmoothShapes
What is SmoothShapes?
Sometimes it feels like no matter what we do, there is just no getting rid of the lumpy, orange peel-like cellulite on our thighs, hips, butt, abs, or anywhere else on the body. And you're not alone. More than 85 percent of women report cellulite on their bodies, and even some men experience these unsightly dimples. But thanks to a breakthrough procedure developed by Elemé Medical, you don't have to live with embarrassing cellulite anymore. SmoothShapes is a new, FDA-approved treatment that reduces cellulite's appearance in the body. Using a patented technology called Photomology, this non-invasive technique has also been known to help tighten the appearance of your abdomen, waist, hips and butt.
Dr. John W. Decorato is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has helped countless women across Staten Island, Brooklyn, Elizabeth, Newark, Jersey City and the surrounding areas to rid their bodies of cellulite using SmoothShapes. To learn more about average SmoothShapes prices, or to check out some before and after pictures of the procedure, call our offices today to set up a complimentary consultation with the doctor.

How is SmoothShapes Performed?
The best part about the SmoothShapes procedure is that it is relatively pain free, and requires no surgery or anesthesia. It's a non-invasive treatment that feels similar to having an aggressive massage. The Photomology technology combines laser and light energy, as well as a mechanical vacuum massage to get the job done. These work together to not only push excess fluid toward the lymphatic system, but also to liquify excess fat calls.
It's a quick procedure (about a half hour per treatment area), and can be performed right in the doctor's office. For optimal results, it's recommended to have roughly eight SmoothShapes sessions in a one-month span.
Am I a Good Candidate for SmoothShapes?
If you're a Staten Island resident who is sick of the “cottage cheese”-like appearance of your hips, thighs, buttocks or elsewhere, you could be an ideal candidate for the SmoothShapes procedure. Many people suffering with cellulite are actually quite lean, as cellulite is not a direct result of poor diet and exercise. Instead, it is primarily caused by impaired blood circulation, decreased metabolism and edema. The procedure can help both men and women alike; however, pregnant or nursing women should not have the treatment.
Call our offices today to set up a consultation and find out if the SmoothShapes procedure is for you.
What Kind of Post-Operative SmoothShapes Care Can I Expect?
Some patients may experience warming of the skin or redness following the SmoothShapes treatment, but this should subside within a few hours. Other than that, there are no post-operative restrictions and patients can resume their daily activities immediately.
What are the Typical Results of SmoothShapes?
Aside from being FDA-approved for cellulite reduction, SmoothShapes has also been known to create a reduction in the appearance of fat and a tighter, slimmer body contour. If you're still skeptical, browse some SmoothShapes before and after pictures to check out the stunning results yourself.
For optimal results, four to eight sessions over a one-month period is recommended, and the final effects may not be noticeable for several weeks after that.
