How Is a Facelift Performed?

A facelift procedure lasts about two to six hours depending on the extent of the surgery. Patients will be under general anesthesia. Usually Dr. Decorato begins with an incision in front of your ear. Through this incision, the doctor can remove extra skin and fat. Dr. Decorato will reshape and lift the remaining tissue to make you appear younger.

After a facelift, most patients take a week or two to recover before returning to work. When patients wake up after the surgery they can expect to see bandages, swelling, and bruising. Patients will also feel tenderness in the affected areas.
