What is Agnes RF?
Agnes RF is an advanced microneedling system that was developed by a team of dermatologists in South Korea. Originally it was used for treating acne, but the combination of radiofrequency (RF) energy and microneedling has proven to be effective for a range of skin concerns. Dr. Decorato uses the minimally-invasive treatment for skin tightening, as well as lifting areas of the face, such as the brow area. What Is the Agnes RF Procedure?
The Agnes RF system is fully customizable to target specific areas of your face, as well as individual flaws that you want to address. The procedure is performed in our office using a local anesthesia. The handpiece is designed with a series of needles that penetrate the skin, much the way that microneedling works. Needle length is chosen based on the type of treatment. Once the needles reach the pre-determined depth, a short burst of RF energy is applied to the skin tissue. This triggers a coagulation inside the skin that promotes self-healing and the production of collagen and elastin.

For patients who are concerned with the symptoms of deeper treatments, we may be able to perform a series of less intensive treatments.
No downtime is required, and you can return to your normal activities right after the procedure. After the first week, you will see gradual improvements in your skin, and full results can take several months. This is due to the time needed for your skin to restructure itself naturally with increased collagen and elastin.
