Transition Peel in Staten Island, NY

A transition peel is a special type of chemical peel that improves the appearance of your skin, removing scars, acne, sun damage, sun spots, and providing a more youthful appearance. With a transition peel, your aesthetician can personalize it according to your needs, which is not possible with a regular chemical peel. This means selecting products and a level of chemical peel that is safe for your skin type, ranging from mild to deep. It helps with all skin types, including pigmented skin and aging skin.
Is A Transition Peel Right For Me?
If you have fine lines, freckling, sun damage, age spots, hyperpigmentation, slight scarring from acne, scaly patches or rough skin, or enlarged pores, you are a good candidate for a transition peel. They are most commonly done on the face, but you can actually get this peel in other areas of your body as well. Your esthetician will look over your face with a bright light to determine the best treatment plan using a transition peel, making it safe for your skin type.
The Cost Of A Transition Peel In New York Or New Jersey

Procedure Details
With a transition peel, your aesthetician is going to target certain skin conditions, which determines how many series you will need. Preparing your skin prior to the first peel is important because it helps your skin become ready for the solutions and chemicals used during the transition peel. This prep period takes 2-4 weeks, depending on your target areas. When your skin is ready your first peel will be scheduled. The transition peel is done by applying the peeling solution to your skin and letting it sit for 5 minutes. For the next 12 to 72 hours, your skin will flake and peel removing the dead skin.
Recovery After A Transition Peel
The types of side effects you experience after your transition peel depend on your skin condition and the depth of the peel. Some common things you may experience during recovery include redness, swelling, temporary color changes of the skin, and some scaling while your skin peels. More serious and rare complications include scarring, chemical allergic reactions, or infection. During recovery, it is important to use the moisturizer provided to you and avoiding direct sunlight. This helps you heal nicely and avoid scarring.
