Procedure Details
The key to PicoSure® is its ultra-short pulse bursts of energy which are delivered to your skin in trillionths of a second. Unlike nanosecond lasers, which typically rely on photothermal energy to reach the pigment and surrounding tissue, the patented PressureWave™ technology of PicoSure™ uses a pulse width that is 100 times shorter. This means it can more precisely target the problem area, breaking apart pigment into smaller pieces that can be absorbed by the body. It also causes less trauma to the surrounding skin.
With PicoSure™, even dark blue and green inks, which can be particularly difficult, can be removed, as well as previously-treated, recalcitrant tattoos.
Recovery after PicoSure™
